Sounds sophisticated, doesn’t it? Well, it’s not that tricky to prepare but you need a bit of time to pull it off. You can even prepare a few things in advance if your schedule doesn’t allow to prepare everything at once.

When I am in need of a quick, healthy snack I love to make fruit, nut and seed bars. I batch prepare and keep them in the fridge – in theory, you can store them up to a month but I always eat them within a few days. Carbohydrate needs are a widely discussed topic in the media. In times when myths are mixing with scientific knowledge, it is not surprising that many athletes remain unsure of the amount and kind of carbohydrate they need to support their training and optimize performance.
I did this smoothie line-up for a presentation and received great feedback for it. Not all of them are for everyone but I’m sure you’ll find your favorite (mine are the avocado & mint and the spicy mango smoothie). Try ’em all!
